World Hereford Conference, New Zealand 2020

With 27 per cent of the Kiwi suckler herd either Hereford or Hereford cross, New Zealand made an ideal destination for the World Hereford Conference. Here, conversations focused on the environment and improving beef's public image. 

European Hereford Conference, Hungary 2018

The European Hereford Conference was held in Hungary in 2018. These informal gatherings of Hereford Cattle Breeders from across Europe are held every four years and is hosted by a different country on each occasion. Gatherings have previously been held in the United Kingdom, Republic of Ireland, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Norway, Estonia, Holland, Hungary, Germany and Switzerland.

World Hereford Conference, Uruguay 2016

The genetic basis of the Uruguayan beef cattle industry is Hereford, being the largest Hereford purebred herd in the world with over 6 million head. So what better place to hold a World Hereford Conference.

The first World Conference was held in the United Kingdom in 1956 and has since been hosted by Argentina, Canada, New Zealand, Uruguay, Spain, USA, South Africa and the Republic of Ireland.

These events are attended by Hereford cattle breeders from across the world, with the hosts organising many events and tours, together with technical and practical presentations on the breed.
