Hereford Cattle Society seeks a Breed and Commercial Co-Ordinator to assist with the promotion and development of the Hereford breed and brand. This role is a head office-based role and will be line managed by the Director of Operations.

The unique qualities of the breed have led to a remarkable growth in demand for Hereford cattle and for the branded Hereford Beef in recent years. The successful candidate will help and support HCS in continuing its growth and supporting the members.

Role responsibilities:

  • Assist in promotion, administration and facilitation of shows and sales,
  • Support and work closely with the Financial Officer and Registrations Officer when needed,
  • Assist with social media when required,
  • Supporting members where possible and attending various herd visits along with area association meetings as necessary,
  • Help organise and deliver workshops to our members and area associations.

Person specification
Do you have…

  • An ability to organise and prioritise workload effectively; multi-task whilst balance the various requirements of the role?
  • Experience of working within a close-knit team?
  • Enthusiasm and are you a dynamic self-starter?
  • A passion for agriculture (preferably livestock but this is not essential)?
  • An ability to show initiative and willingly, proactively take on projects?
  • Computer literacy with a good understanding of social media?
  • A full UK driving licence?

Remuneration will be according to experience and ability. A company pension will be available.
